About Me

I'm Julien. I was born and raised in France. Years ago I served a mission in Madagascar, and in 2016 I decided to move there permanently. I am married and we have a 2 year old daughter. We are almost done with the construction of our house. We can't wait to move there because for the past 4 years, we've been living in a one-room studio, with no toilet nor bathroom. We don't have hot water either so we have to warm up our water on the stove, and we bathe in the kitchen with a bucket, and we use another bucket with a lid as toilets, that we empty every morning. Charming huh?
My main hobby is playing role-playing-games with my friends and family
around the world. I'm a Dungeon Master and I enjoy doing a lot of
prepping for my players.
I am a project coordinator for 3 different non-profits in Madagascar.
For all these non-profits my job is to implement their program in
Madagascar, handle the finances, and watch over the program as a
whole.
BYU-Idaho has given me the amazing opportunity to learn online and at
low cost.
My major is in Applied Health, but on the side I want to learn how to
make mobile applications and websites to expand the number of services
I can offer to these non-profits. My father was a programmer, my
oldest brother is a programmer as well, and I have another brother in
Australia who is a full-stack dev. My older sister is starting her
studies in programming as well, but in Belgium.
